Description: This is a collection of artifacts found on the Stevenson property in Belmont. The items, which include coins, buckles, clay pipes, buttons, flatware, sundial, and compass, were found on a property which is believed to have formerly been occupied by pre-deportation Acadians. While at least one coin dates to 1744, some of the artifacts are more recent, presumably from the time of occupation by New England Planters.
History of Use: These items were donated by the late George Stevenson and have been on display in the museum since then..
