Description: Rectangle-bottomed, checker-woven of woodsplint. This is a seed-sowing basket, so one long side to be worn against sower's body is checker-woven straight while other 3 sides are checker-woven rounded. Sturdy pole-shaped handle added to front centre of basket rim. 2 small wooden hoops added to 2 back corners of back rim. rim, reinforced with sturdy inner wooden hoop, is double-bound (look for the X's) with woodsplint. Handle of rope added to back rim of basket to slip over sower's neck, holding the basket on the chest, thus allowing hands to sow seeds.
