Narrative: Bernice Marie Conrad was born 5 May 1911 in Broad Cove, N.S. Never married.  Bernice came to Bridgewater to work in her late teens.  Living here in 1930s.  Worked with Pattillo's and then went to work for Judge Ernest Armstrong, Queen Street as a housekeeper.  Bernice Conrad stayed on as a maid to his wife Mildred Armstrong after Judge died, and then Bernice bought a house in Italy Cross where she retired and lived until her death on 6 March 2000.  Bernice Conrad is buried in Forest Hill Cemetery, Broad Cove, N.S.
Description: Red hard cover autograph album with gold gilding on the edges of the pages.  46 pages of various pastel colours.  Most pages have handwritten rhymes in either ink or pencil by the family and friends of the owner Bernice Conrad, Bridgewater.  Names included are: Conrad, Lohnes, Peck, Borgel, Oickle, Morash, Herman, McClearn, Wentzell, Whynot, Ramey, Reinhardt, Carver, Keddy, Manuel, Pattello, Silver, Marshall, Jenkins, Meisner, Selig, Zwicker, Ryan, Johnson, Weagle, Sarty, Vogler, Wolfe, Thibodeau, Penny, Berringer, Joudrey, Wamback, Bolivar, Smith, Hiltz, Barry.
