Narrative: May Wade was born c. 1872, the daughter of Captain Joseph H. Wade (1830-1894), collector of customs, Bridgewater and Abigail (Morse) Wade (1832-1896).  According to DesBrisay's History of the County of Lunenburg, May Wade was only 22 years old when she died  in 1894 but was much esteemed in the community.  May Wade is buried in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater.
Description: Small rectangular shaped hard covered wine coloured autograph album.  Gold embossing with a bird and flowers and word Album on cover.  Back cover is plain.  Inside is written: May Wade.  Autographs of friends inside.
History of Use: Used by May Wade of Bridgewater to record friend's autographs.  Came down through the S. Edgar March family who was married to May's sister Eleanor Wade.
